I have Windows 98, ME or XP.  How can I setup Vance.Net without having to get any software?

Once you have established your account with Vance.Net you can get on the internet without having to get any software.  Pick which version of Windows 98 you have.  To find out, right click on My Computer and go to properties.  If you have the original Windows 98, your version number will be 4.10.2222.  If you have Second Edition, it will be 4.10.2222A and it will usually say Second Edition above the version number.  If you have Windows 98, The version of Internet Explorer that comes with it is not the current version.  The best option is to acquire our Internet CD from our office.  If you must get on the internet now, it is suggested to use these instructions to get access to the internet and to immediately download the latest version of Internet Explorer from Microsoft.  Windows XP comes with Internet Explorer 6, however there are major security updates that need to be downloaded and applied.
